Premieres is a not-for-profit music theater development company established in 2001 by Edward Trach and Paulette Haupt.  Our initial and continued objective is to maintain a financially stable organization with minimal overhead and administrative costs.

Our mission is two-fold:  1) to nurture and promote the works of emerging and established writers and composers who have the potential to forge a new legacy in the unique American art form of Music Theater and, 2) to engage audiences as partners in their inspiration and vision.

We are committed to supporting creative artists of the highest caliber seeking to break new ground and discover new forms of storytelling through music.  We embrace a wide diversity of musical and dramatic styles and aesthetic cultures.

We present staged readings and studio productions of works in development at various performance sites in New York City. Our performances feature first-rate actors, singers and musicians.

Audiences include theater professionals and devoted theatergoers interested in being a part of the development and discovery process.
